Around 1 in 6 adults in the UK experiences depression, anxiety, or related mental health problems each week. Women are more likely to be affected than men, and young people show rising rates of depressive symptoms. The COVID-19 pandemic significantly increased reported cases, particularly among those aged 16–29. Despite this, only about a third of people with depression receive treatment, highlighting ongoing challenges in access to mental health support across the UK.

For a Muslim, fixing your prayer routine can offer the structure and control you need to get a grip on your mental health struggles.
